Not 12 miles
I did not make it 12 or even 10 miles today. I made it five and decided to cut my losses. My knees were aching and I'm glad I stopped when I did. I took off my sock and the blister was just starting to be annoyed. So if I had gone much farther, I would have been right back where I started! I came home, did some yoga poses for distance runners and formulated a new plan to catch up to my former 10 mile glory days. Daily short runs, yoga and wii fit for the next two weeks should get my strength back up and let my blister toughen up. My only goal right now is to be ready for the half marathon in July.
